This privacy policy (the “Policy”) describes how IntelliMedia Inc. (“IntelliMedia”, “we”) manages the personal information it collects on its websites. Collection of personal information
Introduction
The term “Personal information” means information that, when taken alone or in combination with other information, identifies an individual, such as name, contact information, email address, and any other information that should be treated as “personal information” in accordance with applicable laws.
You may required to send us personal information – such as your name, address or email address – in different situations, for example to allow us at your request, to interact with, to provide you with a quote for your services, complete your subscription to an IntelliMedia service or provide you with one of your services to which you have subscribed. For example, we collect your name and contact information, details of your request and the contract you have entered with us. IntelliMedia does not distribute online advertising on its sites on behalf of third parties, but we do advertise our own services on the websites of other companies. - Any entity in the event of a merger, corporate reorganization or change of control of IntelliMedia, in whole or in part, only if the parties have signed an agreement stipulating that the collection, use and disclosure of information is limited to the objectives of the commercial transaction.
- Any public authority if required by law, or to defend our rights, or otherwise in accordance with the law. If IntelliMedia is required to disclose information or provide a copy of that information to a government agency under law or in accordance with a court order IntelliMedia will attempt to notify you in advance to the extent permitted by law.
Information security
We are committed to protecting your personal information and to maintaining its accuracy. IntelliMedia implements reasonable physical, administrative and technical protections to prevent unauthorized access, use and dissemination of your personal information. The information is only made available to individuals (employees or agents) who must have access to this information to carry out their responsibilities. All data collected in connection with your use of the websites is generally kept on servers located in Canada. However, the data may be processed by third party service providers of IntelliMedia located outside of Canada in order to enable them to carry out mandates on behalf of IntelliMedia. In the latter case, we take reasonable measures to ensure that these third parties are bound by the appropriate guarantees.
Your rights in relation to your personal information
You have the right to know the purpose of IntelliMedia’s collection and processing of personal information about you, as well as the right to access, update and correct this information. You can withdraw your consent to the use and retention of your personal information by IntelliMedia at any time. In such a case, however, you may be unable to use certain features of the websites.
